CV Marketing — Product Guide¶
CV Marketing handles the firm's outreach machinery: building and managing lists, running campaigns and events, and keeping consent clean. It shares the same client and relationship data as the rest of ClientVerse, so marketing works from the same source of truth as BD and the lawyers.
Who uses it: the marketing team, events staff, and communications — plus BD ops who build target lists.
Lists¶
The List Builder is the core of CV Marketing today. Build dynamic lists from any object using SOQL-based filtering, save views, map fields, and add or remove members in batches — manually or by filtered query. Lists can be shared with other users, and they integrate with Source Lists for ingesting external data.
- Build a list: pick the object, define filters, save the view.
- Maintain it: members refresh by query, or you curate manually.
- Feature:
cv-core/docs/features/list-builder.md. Process: Business Process Library §3.8 (Marketing Lists & Campaigns).
Campaigns¶
Campaigns are tracked on Salesforce's campaign model, extended with ClientVerse classification and relationship context. The Related Tree Grid can display an account's related campaigns grouped under parent records on a record page, giving a structured view of campaign participation. Whitespace opportunities from BD can be added directly to a campaign (Whitespace is 🧩 Modules).
- Feature:
cv-core/docs/features/related-tree-grid.md. Process: §3.8, and the Client Alert Approval & Publication workflow (§3.8.5).
Events¶
Event management runs through the campaign and activity model — see Business Process Library §3.9 (Event Management Lifecycle) for the end-to-end process (invitations, attendance, follow-up). Richer event tooling is a later-phase enhancement (§4.6).
Consent & GDPR¶
Marketing communications respect the firm's consent records. Consent and GDPR handling is defined in Business Process Library §3.10 (GDPR & Consent Management) — check a contact's consent state before including them in outreach.
Reporting & export¶
A CV Marketing dashboard and dedicated report folder cover marketing activity
and reach (cv-core/docs/features/bd5.3-bd-analytics-reporting.md).
Need data out? The generic Export quick action exports child records to CSV
from any record (cv-core/docs/features/generic-export-data.md).
What's coming¶
Marketing deepens notably in later phases — enhanced marketing & event integration, awards/directory submissions, sponsorships, and speaking engagements (Business Process Library §4.6, §4.9, §4.12, §4.13). The MVP focuses on lists, campaigns, events, and consent.
